Content strategy and social media creation for The Asia Foundation’s first ever crowd-funding campaign: For the first time in their 60 year history, The Asia Foundation launched an Indiegogo crowd-funding campaign to raise funds for the first children’s digital library in Cambodia. I created the content strategy for the campaign, including social media strategy, press release, and communications toolkit featuring social media graphics, gifs, sample posts, and talking points. As a result, The Asia Foundation exceeded it’s goal of raising $50,000.
Social Media Event Campaign: On June 3, 2015 The Asia Foundation’s Lotus Circle honored journalist and author Sheryl WuDunn, and Dr. Ranjana Kumari, a leader in the women’s rights movement in India, at the fifth annual Lotus Leadership Awards in New York City, for their contributions to the well-being of women and girls in Asia.
I created and managed social media and traditional media strategies, which led to 9000,000 social media impressions, and over 2,000 views of the press release. Through the promotion and attendance at the event, The Asia Foundation raised over half a million dollars for their women’s empowerment program.
