Favorite Fall Lips

I absolutely love Autumn and Winter. There’s something so appealing about the cooler weather, the leaves changing and the lovely fashion.

Then there’s the makeup. I’m not a stickler on not wearing certain makeup looks in certain seasons, but when it comes to colder weather, I adore smokey eyes and deep, rich, dark lips (not together though).

There’s nothing sexier than deep lips in the Autumn and winter and these are a few of my absolute favorites that I’ll be wearing in the coming months.

Rebel, MAC Cosmetics (pictured above) – there’s a reason why this is on the lips of numerous beauty bloggers – it is beautiful! It’s a deep berry that’s not too vampy, yet it quite bold. I love that it brightens my whole face and brings out the rest of my features. It goes on smooth and has a touch of sheen. I pair it with MAC’s beet lip liner, which is an exact match, or if I want a bit of a deeper color, I use MAC’s current lip liner.

Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet in #40 La Sensuelle – this is my first Chanel lipstick, and based on my experience, it won’t be the last. Another deep berry, this one has a blue undertone that isn’t as vibrant as MAC’s Rebel, but is gorgeous none the less. I love the feel of this on my lips because it is so lightweight, yet moisturizing at the same time – something that is very important in the colder months. Plus, who wouldn’t love pulling out a chic Chanel lipstick to reapply?

Russian Red, MAC Cosmetics – while everyone raves and raves about MAC’s Ruby Woo as the end all, be all of red lipsticks, as far as MAC goes, my favorite is Russian Red. It’s a bit deeper than a standard red lip and has neutral tones, so it would work for anyone. I love that it’s a matte finish, which I love wearing during cooler months. It goes perfectly with MAC’s Brick lip liner and is hands down my favorite red lip.

Verve, MAC Cosmetics – it’s touted as a brown lipstick, but to me it applies more like a deep plummy brown. It’s the perfect neutral-ish, my lips but a bit darker and a bit better color. It’s a satin, which is my my favorite formula from MAC and wears comfortably on my lips. It’s a universally flattering shade that is the perfect everyday work lipstick for medium to darker skin tones.
